Position:   Playgroup Facilitator

Pay:          Part Time, In accordance with CBA scale

Organizational Scope:

Reports to the Extended Learning Program Director and the Building Principal. The work of the Playgroup Facilitator is influenced by NRSD’s core values of academic achievement and personal growth; voice, choice and agency; lifelong learning; a safe, caring and inclusive community; collaborative partnerships; innovation; and a sense of belonging for all.

Position Responsibilities:

• The playgroup facilitator will plan and facilitate 3 weekly parent and child playgroups in each community (Lancaster, Bolton and Stow).
• The playgroup facilitator will plan and facilitate 3 monthly community library story times.
• The playgroup facilitator will prepare and set up/clean up) over 8 weeks in the summer facilitating story times and playgroups.

Job Qualifications & Physical Demands:

CPR and First Aid training/certification required; experience working with children required.  Must be able to establish good rapport with children and adults.  Must be able to recognize and understand the needs of children. Must be willing and able to physically manage students if needed.  Child care experience preferred.
